I think the first two answers missed the point of your question....
Asia was a pretty good "supergroup", and of course Humble Pie, but I would agree that the Traveling Wilbury's were probably the best of that genre.
How about this - the Beatles have lost their two guitar players, but the drummer and bassist are still alive - the Who have lost their original bassist and drummer......
We'll ignore the fact that the current Who drummer is better than his dad, the old Beatles drummer.
