Lots of places. You can hit up a Guitar Center, a Sam Ash, or a series of places on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.
However, if you want a place with an interesting and quality selection, go to the Professional Drum Shop. I think it's in hollywood. I believe they charge more for their drumsets than the average store, but I think that buying a set there means you can go to them to get free repairs. Other than that, there are other shops scattered around LA that sell only drums, just look in the yellow pages.
