My clarinet damages my lip???

the read on my clarinet always has made my bottom lip go split and cut how do i fix it without buying anything.......???

and i am not playing it the rong way i have been playing for two years and it has only started to happen a coupole weeks ago and tomorrow i am going on a band camp with school and i am having to play for 3 days straight!!!!!

All the above answers are valid...chapstick is essential for reed players.

You may also want to use a softer reed for a while, until your lip gets used to playing.
