Question:

Hey House,Techno, and Electronica fans. I need some feedback.?

I'm kinda bored so I have been working on a track with my computer, any way I was wondering if you guys could give some feed back on it. It's not finished yet, but your feedback would be much appreciated.

Alright, I listened to the whole thing and complied a pretty good list of ups and downs. First of all--- its great. Solid beat, good changes catchy instrumental parts. But it could use work, especially in the down sizing area.

First of all, the intro is entirely to long, you only need about one phrase of that beat, I was already bored with it, and nothing cool had happened yet. Think about a popular pop song, the music comes in and it sounds cool, but the singer starts singing before he/she bores her crowd with repetition.

I'd try a building beat during the intro--- for example, only bass drum at the beginning, then adding other thing etc (obviously a concept you grasp... I saw it in other places later in the music).

When the bass enters, it could come in a little more active, perhaps a walking bass line or just a louder volume altogether.

When you cut the drums/rhythm section out, and filled back in with the snare--- this was a smart move, that adds a lot of flavor to the song, good work.

Reentry to the main loop could use verity--- I want to hear something new. A shaker, cowbell, congas--- anything to make the listener say "oh, thats neat".

The strange effect at 2:25 (around that area) is a little out of tune sounding (perhaps its just me, but I normally don't mess up on stuff like that). I suggest replacing it with another effect.

The piano could use a variation as well. I would try something high pitched and moving (8th, or 16th depending on how active you want you're listener to feel).

4:20 sounds good, but strangely enough the guitar sound off beat, maybe thats on purpose, but I would change it if it was my sound.

Beat change at 5:30 (around that area) sounds great, good work.

8:28 (around that area) is also impressive, good work.

Ending is great but to long---- try breaking down the end even more and then slowly the tempo down suddenly--- this is a common effect for such an ending.

Overall, great work. This music is great but to long. I listened to the whole thing and I feel that I could have heard it all in 3 minutes if the composer willed it. You want people to enjoy your music. Don't let your song be that track that people listen to for 30 seconds and then skip, keep them excited the whole time.

Good job, let me know how progress comes.
