What songs describe American geography?
I'm trying to put together a mix cd for a geography class. So far I have:
America, the Beautiful
Proud Mary
New York, New York
Route 66
Can you think of any other songs (any genre) that reference American geography or iconic cities? Thanks!
Answers:
"Way down upon the Swanee River" comes to mind.
The official song of the State of Indiana, "On the Banks of the Wabash" would be another. You might look up some official state songs and see what you get. Finding them on CD might be a chore but some might be online.
