I am a hip-hop and r&b lover, BUT......?

I listen to another station when bullshit like dj khalid and stupid **** like that comes on. I LOVE Daughtry and Nickelback....I thought that it was the same band playing until I heard the radio announcer saying so. I love them, but does anyone have the same problem identifying them apart?

Yes I have this problem, people seem to believe because you grow up into one type of lifestyle that it means you can not explore other options. I love all types of music except country (sorry it gives me a headache). Music is something that can be explored by all aspects of people, so why do different cultures try to limit their boundaries by refusing influences of anything else. Not just in music but in everything! Its kind of sad but true. Don't try to identify yourself with one type of music. You actually know who you are better by listening to more than one genre of music.
