Help with a violin.?

i just wanted to know if i have a violin or a viola.

does a violin have 4 fine tunners or just 1.

i just need to know the differnce, becouse i don't know if i'm playing a violin or a viola.

is there any way to find out?

so i could have a violin.

i just dont understand really, but when i bought it off ebay the person selling it said it was a violin.

Violas are bigger. Measure the thing. I'm no expert on string instruments but my violin (that I hardly can play) is 8 " wide at the widest part of the body (the "hips" of the gal) and about 23m2/2" long from one end to the other. About the same is a violin. Bigger than that by a bit is a viola. REALLY big is a cello. HUGE is a double bass.
