Im in a band and im a beginner!!! HELP?

i was asked to be in a screamo band and im not good..ive been playing for 5 months and dont kno wat to do..is there any way u can help me get better..like some basic riffs..or scales?

Don't worry about being a beginner, playing with people is the best way to improve. It's one thing to be able to play along with the CD in your living room, its something completely different playing with a bunch of other people. Definetly say you'll play with them, but tell your band you really just started.

If you practice with this band on a regular basis, you'll be surprised what youll learn from everyone else, and how much better you get. Trust me 2 months. maybe less, you'll be fine, and you'll only get better from there.
