It's hard to give you the full benifit of the doubt because of the quality of mic you were using. I bet you have a pretty powerful voice but it seems like you were holding back -- I'd love to hear you singing in a big house or concert hall -- or outside even.
Like I said, It sounds like you're holding back, maybe because you did't want the crappy computer mic to distort? Also, you might have been using head phones, which can make it difficult to hear yourself.
You were out of tune in some spots and that was prob from using head phones -- not sure if you were though. (it wasn't THAT bad -- just some spots) It could also be that you're not use to recording -- or you sang the song 15 times in a row -- or not enough times of practice (or you were nervous -- or whatever -- like I said, it wasn't bad)
You definitely sing a lot better than most people and I credit you for your courage in sharing that with us.

When I first started singing, I sucked so bad -- I have recordings to prove I actually did suck, eww. And over time, after singing in a few bands and going to college for music, I became more experienced.

I'm not going to give you any advice, you're well on your way. In 10 years you will be very good, right now, you're above everage. I wish you luck.
