i need to get some info about techo and trance music.
What are these types of music?
How different are they from things like hiphop and pop?

i tried to use google to look for some good sites but couldnt find a good one....... can you please suggest.

You can use wikipedia. That would be your best source for differentiating between the styles. Techno & Trance music (House) focus more on the beat and flow of the song. Most songs under these genres don't have lyrics or have little lyrics at all. It's a more electric, with blending of different sounds and beats.

Hip-hop and pop focus more on the lyrics and a certain topic for the song. The title will normally reflect what they're signing about while a trance song's title will sometimes reflect the mood or sensation or thoughts you get when listening to it. It's more like poetry, where you give expression meaning.
