How long will it take for me to learn how to play the Piano?!

How long will it take for me to learn how to play the Piano?

I can play guitar fairly well, i want to pick up on the Piano. How long would it take to learn how to play piano by ear if i practice about 3 hours a day with an experienced player?

Wonderful!! I love the piano...I'm a big fan of classical pianists! I started learning to play the piano when I was 4 and 1/2 years old, and at that point, i thought piano was boring - and i mean really boring! When i turned 9, i told my mum that i wanted to give it up altogether and never practice the piano again - ever! But mum kept putting me on that piano and she kept teaching me and then she put me in a piano competition...i started winning prizes and when i was 10, i got my first 1st place!! I got so excited that i started practicing harder and harder and then i kept winning first prizes...then i didn't need anyone to encourage me to practice...i did it on my own...so i teach myself all of the songs now and i love it! It's really fun to do...and it doesn't take long either...i'd say if u practice 3 hours a day (which is excellent!) it'd probably only take u about a year or 2 to play some of the hardest classical pieces by Beethoven and Chopin!! And my favorite composer is Chopin...ooo I so LOVE his pieces!! But if ur just playing simple pieces like church music and chords (that sort of stuff) it should only take u about 6 months with 3 hours of practice a day!!
