What kind of classical music would you recomen, and what composers?!

Question:

What kind of classical music would you recomen, and what composers?

I have developed a liking to classical music, but I don't know many things about it. One of my favourite songs is Canon En Ré Majeru, by G. Jarry, I think. Any other recomendations?

Answers:

Depends on what you like. If you like the sound of a full orchestra, then the symphonies of Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, and Mahler may be in order. If solo piano is your thing, then Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff might be to your liking. Beethoven has plenty of piano stuff, too. Mozart wrote lots of music for orchestra, and wrote a lot of solo pieces for piano and violin (since he was a virtuoso performer on both from a very early age.)

"Classical" music is extremely varied, so try a little of everything to find out what you like. Good luck!!
