What band is this?

i hear this band a lot on a show on disney channel called Life with derek, whenever a boombox or stereo system is turned on the show it's this really upbeat girlfronted punk band. they also were played on the new nick movie last day of summer. it's this one song that i thought was called "summer sunshine" because that was the main lyric throughout the whole song. but i tried looking it up on itunes but nothing came up. any help?

it's not "the corrs" because i looked at it on itunes and it's definitly not it.

i think it's a canadian band. i like life with derek too and my brother wanted to find the song on itunes for a video. nothing turned up!
