I pick up radio frequencies when i play my bass...does anyone know of a solution to stop this??

Yeah that's a S.O.B. ain't it? Any way....
Go to your local guitar shop or musical supply store and purchase a, "Noise Gate".
These things are great, they pretty much stop any sound from reaching the speakers at any time in which you are not playing.
