The Exorcist - This scares the living hell out of about half the population, the other half aren't affected at all, so it's a bit of a risk!.
The Blair Witch Project - See above!. Whether you find this scary or not basically depends on whether you get sucked into the movie or not!.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The original, of course!.
[REC] - Was later remade into Quarantine!.
Quarantine - If you can't find [REC], this is almost it's exact double anyway, and almost as bloody terrifying!. Probably the one horror remake of the last five years that they didn't completely ruin!.
The Descent - Some people see this and refuse to go caving ever again!. To make it even scarier, I asked my science teacher, and the monsters in this could plausibly exist in real life!.
The Strangers - Again, while a lot of people were really frightened, a lot of people were bored!. I think it depends on whether you find the masks scary or silly!.
