I would have felt obligated to give the baby back to the mother, i couldnt help somebody "kidnap" a baby and go through my life as a accomplice, while the mother thinks her kid is dead, i know that she is somewhere else!. I know the mother is a bad parent, but i just couldnt do it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Honestly, I don't know what i would do in a situation such as that!. I would have to face it to know what i would actually do!.
When i first saw it, I thought that they both made excellent arguments for their point of view, and i was hoping that the child would stay with Freeman; however, when Afleck made his argument i was once again undecided about what to do!. Then again, after he brings the kid home and experiences that, i was, and could tell that Casey was, disappointed he had brought her back home to the same old stuff!.
It's a moral and an ethical dilemma, which is why it's so good!.

Even though the kid's mother is a drunk and a slut, she still has the power of maternity in the law, and it doesn't get much stronger than that!. To do anything else is participating in a horrible crime!.
