When a vampire is thirsty for blood their eyes become black, when their thirst is fixed (after they just gone hunting for example) their eyes become a golden color, in the book their eyes are refferred to as topaz!. A newborn vampire or a bad vamp (like in the movie--James, Laurent and Victoria) their eyes are red!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

When they are black he is extremely thirsty!. They turn lighter after he has "eaten" due to the blood!. = ) It explains it better in the books!. I suggest reading them!.!.!.they are good!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
