I took my 6 year old to see this and I would have to say that he loves his animated films, but this one had him looking around more concerned about everyone else in the cinema!. The film was enjoyable but it was no where near as good as others out there!.
My son loves Madagascar and is desperate to see the second one when it comes out, this might be a good one to see!. I would recommend finding out which animated films have the most action and least talking as I've always found that my sons attention span is better when there's more going on on the screen!.
I find a lot of animated films these days have a fair bit of their jokes and themes aimed towards adults humour!.
