Anyone know what movie this is (It's an oldie in black & white)?!

Question: Anyone know what movie this is (It's an oldie in black & white)!?
Ok, this is hard one!. I saw this movie when I was little and loved it, but I don't remember what the name of it is and it's haunted me ever since!.

I don't even know the names of the leads, but it is an old movie, it's in black & white and I do remember quite a bit about the storyline!. Here's all the detail I can remember:

It's about a white woman who is blind and lives with her grandparents!. She's basically treated as a servant and is rarely allowed out of the house, but one day has to leave for some reason (can't remember, not important anyway!.) So she goes out and of course gets lost!. She ends up in a park near her home just crying!. A black man walking by stops to help her!. He helps her get home and they start talking and become friends!. They eventually fall in love!. Which was a big no-no back then, but she doesn't care because she doesn't even know the difference between black and white!.

!.!.!.I cannot for the life of me remember how the movie ended! But if you have even an IDEA of what it might be, please PLEASE answer!. This has haunted me for years!. I've even done broad searches on the web and imdb looking thru all black & white movies listed, but none seemed to match up!.

It sounds like this film:
A Patch of Blue (1965)

They continue to meet in the park every afternoon and he teaches her how to get along in the city!. But when the cruel, domineering Rose-Ann learns of their relationship, she forbids her to have anything more to do with him because he is black!.
