Ok, I recently watched the Evil Dead movies (soon enough i'm going to watch Army of Darkness)!. I love them, and they could possibly be my favorite movies, but, Ash survives after eliminating his evil friends!. But then, in the second one!.!.!. He comes back and does it all over again!.!.!. did Sam Raimi make Evil Dead 2 a remake of Evil Dead 1!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's a debate that's been going on since Evil Dead II first came out!. It was originally intended as a bigger-budget sequel, but Raimi lost the rights to use footage from the first to retell the story in the opening, so he ended up reshooting a revised version that features many different changes (such as Ash and his girlfriend being the only ones at the cabin)!.
Because of this the movie can be considered a sequel/remake of the first one!. For sake of continuity, Raimi did the same thing for Army!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
