Answers:
its a great movie and the ending was perfect!. the movie is about the harshness of the modern world, hence the title!. the ending takes some understanding, but once you think about it its very simple!. his dreams sum up the theme of the movie!. his dream about his father, who was also a lawman, represents this idealistic dream of his father helping to build a safe world for him to live in (the fire in the cold land represents safety)!. when he says he 'woke up', it means he realises that it is just a dream, and in this world violence is king (by this world, read the war on terror)!. thats why he has that sad look on his face at the end, cos he realises that in his lifetime of being a lawman, he has not managed to stop crime at all, and he is now an old man with no place left in the worldWww@Enter-QA@Com

I thought it was an excellent film!. Very suspenseful and well-made!. Javier Bardem's performance was terrifying!.

As for the main theme of the film, I believe Roger Ebert put it best: "the movie demonstrates how pitiful ordinary human feelings are in the face of implacable injustice [and evil]!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah i really liked it!. i dont want to put any spoilers on here, but i thought the ending, while it was anti-climatic in a way, was sort of refreshing in the sort of truth of it!. we are so used to over-done endings with big finishes and such, there was a real sense of mortality and the fragility of life that "action" movies seem to loose track of with their main protagonists and villians!. that ending kind of took you back to the reality of things where people live normal lives!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

its about mexican drug dealers and small towns in texas near the border that have become the battle grounds, good ol'boy Llewyllen stumbles upon $2million in cash of the drug dealers money, when he takes it he sets off a chain of catastrophic violence and must evade his pursuers including the madman who flips coins for human lives!.

It encompasses themes as ancient as the bible
but as bloodily contemporary as this morning headlines!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah i loved it, but i did not like the ending , it was like i need a second part or something like that, but the bad guy was really scary, right friend-O!? hahaha he was awesome and the other guy tommy lee jones was like whatever, i did not understand his point, but yeah i liked itWww@Enter-QA@Com

Loved it, but I'm a huge fan of the Coens!. Some of my friends are like you, they didn't get the point and ended thinking the movie was boring!.Try watching Fargo or the Big Lebowski (not O' brother or Ladykillers) to understand how Joel and Ethan Coen think!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

i loved it, i thought about it for days afterward, i just didn't like the ending, i was left like WTF!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was an example of 'minimalism' in movie making!.

The only American master of the minimalist technique was Stanley Kubrick!.

No Country For Old Men only came off as boring rather than minimalist!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i thought the same as you!. I really couldnt understand how it got so much hype!! I was so bored, and i have no idea what the ending was about!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its drug deal gone bad and how far the drug cartel spreads!.!.!.!.what it there not to understand!?
