Question: Why was the movie Cast Away a little disappointing!?
I thought this movie had some potential but it sorta got boring at times!. I thought the end was nice but just not enough!. Wilson was a very cool character and I love Tom Hanks!. THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I enjoyed the movie, but Hanks' character could have been less boring!. For example, those islands often had wild pigs, rats and sometimes rabbits left behind by pirates!. I understand the writers trying to stay away from a Robinson Crusoe theme, but if he could have interacted with, let's say, having a little pork for din-din, or maybe a tasty rat instead of the raw fish ( I could just picture an 8 ft parasite growing inside him), or building shelter!.!.!. I don't know, but I'm sure there were many things that could have been added that would have made the film a lot more interesting besides Wilson!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I didn't think it was boring, but I, too was disappointed, mostly by the framing sequences!. Everything that took place while he was stranded was fascinating, and Hanks expertly played the everyman suddenly confronted with basic questions of how to survive and stay sane!. (Director Robert Zemeckis' films all tend to be about puzzle-solving -- think Back to the Future, Romancing the Stone, Contact, What Lies Beneath, etc!.) But the scenes that took place back in civilization all seemed flat and static by comparison!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I agree, it was disappointing to see a Tom Hanks movie not do so well!. I saw it and got really bored!. There were not many dangers to his character in the island that the audience could worry about!. Only that he was there alone with Wilson!. His attempts to save himself were at times interesting!. I thought it was good, and it makes me appreciate what I have and how precious life is!. It also demonstrated how as humans we really do have this innate survival instinct!. The only scenes that were "odd" for me were the scenes of him talking to the ball, but then I'd probably do the same thing if in that situation of isolation!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because his wife played by helen hunt is dirty, little you know what! That's why!. She waited NO TIME, to start humpin it up with the next guy!. Then when she saw Tom was still alive, she was all regretting it and crap, her husband was a deuche too!. Good thing he meets that even hotter chick at the end!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well you have to remember once he is "Cast Away" it is just him!. One character alone on an island!. How entertaining can it get!. I was surprised though, it really is a decent film!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I liked Cast Away, I watch it at home every once in a while!. Makes you think of the things we take for granted!. Great movie and great actor!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
