Question: Who are the bad and good ppl in star wars!?
Answers:
Basically (without making a long detailed list of characters):
Good:
* Jedi Order / Jedi Knights
* Rebel Alliance (polithical leaders, military forces and entire worlds fighthing against the Empire)

Bad:
* Sith Lords
* Empire - Military, polithical leaders, and entire worlds under their control)
* Hutts (gangsters / criminals)
* Bounty Hunters (ussually working for the Sith, Empire, or Hutts)
* Trade Federation / Confederacy of Independent Systems / Techno Union / InterGalactic Banking Clan - different groups that formed the Separatists, enemies of the Republic during the Clone Wars!.

Some additional notes:
---------------------------------
Since the Episode I: The Phantom Menace the Senator Palpatine was secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious while appearing to be a good senator, later leader (Chancellor) of the Senate until he reached his goal of Emperor / Supreme Ruler of the Galaxy!. He was leading at the same time the Republic (good) and the Separatists (bad) armies aiming to destroy during the process the Jedi Order and keep the dominion over the galaxy for himself!.

The central character Anakin Skywalker is introduced here as part of the good guys!.

In Episode II: Attack of the Clones and most of the time of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the Clones or Stormtroopers were fighthing for the Republic under the orders of the Jedi Order, until they received the Order 66 that commanded them to kill the Jedi Knights!. From that point on they became the army of the Empire!.

Near the end of Episode III, Anakin switched sides to the bad guys becoming Darth Vader!.

In Episode IV: Star Wars: A New Hope
* Han Solo (& his shipmate Chewbacca) a common smugler who worked for gangster Jabba The Hutt end up helping Jedi Knight ObiWan Kenobi & the Rebels and becoming part of the Rebel Alliance!. By the Episode VI he has the rank of General!.

In Episode V: The Empire Strike Back: Lando Carlissian started dealing with the Empire (Darth Vader) and later switched sides and aided Rebels (Leia, Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2, Luke) to escape!. Then remained with the good side in the next movie!.

In Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi: Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader switched sides again and saved Luke who was being tortured by Darth Sidious / Emperor Palpatine and killed the Emperor (also dying shortly after)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Star Wars mythology conforms to the monomyth!.

The main protagonist or hero becomes the villain who then seeks redemption and so on and so forth

technically though!.!.!.without studying the mythology of Star Wars in massive detail here is a brief idea!.

you have good people - the Jedi!.!.!.a monastic order of knights, protectors of justice and defenders of the galactic Republic, they defend the Republic's ethos of democracy and freedom!.

They believe that you shouldn't tamper with the balance of the force or use it for your own ends!. They seek to eliminate negative aspects of themselves that may lead them to commit actions that lead to the balance of the force becoming disturbed!.!.such as greed!.!.selfishness!.!.!.anger!. Instead they embrace compassion, honour, humility and selflessness!.

then you have the "evil" guys Sith!.!.!.who are in essence Jedi who have chosen a different belief and understanding of the Force and are the polar opposite of a Jedi!.

The Sith believe that those who can manipulate the force should!.!.!.and that a Sith should embrace and not shun or suppress the more base emotions that feed the dark usage of the Force!. They proceed to use these factors to make themselves more powerful!. The Sith use this power to worldly ends and are responsible for the creation of the Empire!. They then proceed to enact their Imperial rule upon everybody else!. Whilst the Jedi struggle against them to uphold the democracy loving ethos of the Republic!.

In between there are those of a more ambiguous moral character who are less motivated by the religious tenants of the Force!. Most characters fall into this category at some point in the story!.

These people are usually are motivated by what suits them best!. Characters like Bobba Fett, Han Solo in his youth!.!.!.and Jabba the Hutt!. These kinds of characters are more motivated by personal gain and/or profit!. Their allegiances can change depending on what or who is most beneficial to them personally at the time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

that is rather hard to answer, there are hundreds of characters in star wars, thousands in the expanded universe!. If you mean characters that appear during the galactic civil war (the original trilogy) then those associated with the empire are generally evil while those associated with the alliance to restore the republic are generally good!. In the Clone Wars era (the prequel trilogy) people associated with the sith/trade federation/confederacy of independent systems are evil and people associated with naboo/the republic are good!.
