no, because "good" movies about evil people and violence, usually have a really good background story, and usually, the violence/horror/nastiness, is just the result of a very troubled/mentally and/or emotionally ill main character, which if anything, makes you end up feeling sorry for them, or at least sympathizing with them!.
Candyman is a prime example!. he is doomed to be a serial killing spirit, but in life, he was more human than the scumbags who tortured and killed him, purely because he fell in love with a white girl and got her pregnant!.
and the underlying theme in that movie is extreme racism, and what it causes!.
Jigsaw/John Kramer does some horrendous things to people, why!? because a waste of space drug addict, with no respect for life murdered his unborn child, who had every right to live!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If movies about evil and violence were banned surely it would cause people to turn naive about the real world about them!. because if they never saw it on tv how would they ever know the bad things that ever happen in this world!. if you are taalking about movies well every film have a certification U 12 12a 15 18 these have been put in place for a reason any body who believes a film is unsuitable for themselves shouldn't watch it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Of course answering a question with a question is usually nonproductive,but I wonder at your motives for posting this!. Like it or not,we homo sapiens are a violent lot!. And, as far as I can tell censorship does not make anything, no matter how repugnant to some,go away!. Time after time,it's been proven that to ban something some find objectionable,like alcohol say,opens up a whole new can of worms that are worse than the "problem"Prohibition aided and abetted the rise of organized crime,so look how well that one turned out!. Further, there's a much easier remedy than broad,sweeping censorship!. well, I would like to say yes even tho I know the arguments against it, but hey, I cannot find it in me to enjoy people being vile to each other, and when you talk about films on tv, sometimes I am awake through no fault of my own, wanting to watch a movie to get me thru the night, and on all chnnels it is ignorant, vile , mindless killing/violence/verbal abuse, come on do we need this in our lives or would a good , film with a dialogue that was humanitarian [even in an other language] be better!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
