Question: Has anyone seen the movie "The Strangers"!?
It said it was based on a true story although even in the bonus features it didn't have anything to support that it in fact happened!. Does anybody know the real true story behind that movie!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it isnt !.!.!.!.!.sheesh i hate hollywood !.!.!.!.like texas chainsaw massacre ,wolf creek ,etc[they say "based on true events" then say the scenario!.!.!.!.and then bs us heaps !.!.!.its fiction for 85% of the script]!.!.!.!.!. the strangers took an event and used some features of it for probably approx [15%] of the script !.!.!.otherwise it is in no way shape or form !.!.!.a real true story !.!.!.!.!.!.you want reality !.!.!.!.!.watch longford , evil angels , lonely hearts ,etc!.!.!.!.!.the strangers is a great film though !.!.!.a fictional gem !.!.!.!.i loved it and want it asap on dvd !.!.!.!.!.lol
EDIT**to clarify !.!.!.texas chainsaw when released in 1974 claimed to be "based" on real events !.!.!.!.the reality in that movie is there was a man called ed gein who grave robbed [stole his mothers body]!.!.!.!.and he did try to create clothing from one womans skin [but he wasnt a mass murderer or a chainsaw wielding freak !.!.!.!.infact he babysat for alot of people and was viewed as a quiet and strange but nice older man]!.!.!.!.!.!.!.thats how loosely it was connected to the film !.!.!.there is no hewitt family in texas slaughtering people !.!.!.the strangers is the same !.!.!.a couple of people murdered in an isolated farm house !.!.!.!.other than that no reality !.!.!.!.!.!.see what i mean !?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There is not truth to the background story though it did have a ring of truth to it!. The movie did have a ring-of-truth to it, the kind that makes you uneasy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
