Well, an oldie and still a goodie is "13 Ghosts" - the original B&W version, not the stupid remake a few years ago!. also, "The Legend of Hull House" starring Roddy MacDowell from the early 70's (!?) based on the book by Richard Matheson!. Both were more about the suspense than most movies!.
