If you are that into the idea of watching these movies for your boyfriend why not tell him you want to watch them and let him decide the order!. I am a child of the 70's so for me my order would be IV A New Hope, V Empire Strikes Back, VI Return of the Jedi, I The Phantom Menace, II Attack of the Clones, and then III Revenge of the Sith

James O is right!. To start with, watch the original trilogy of films that were made in the 70s and 80s (episodes 4 - 6)!. If you like them, which you should do, watch the more recent trilogy!. I, like many people who grew up in the 80s, love the Star wars films, but the Phantom Menace and all its sequels really did stink!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I suggest you watch them in order from the original 3, then watch the prequel's which were the last three made!. Don't worry it will still make sense!.

Watch them all! I am a Star Wars fan, and my hubby is a Star Trek fan!. I personally love watching all of the Star Wars so much!. I have even played Star Wars Online and other Star Wars computer games!.
Even our kids (7 and 4) love to sit down and watch it!. They know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek just by watching the opening sequence!. They get extremely excited to sit down and watch the 'aliens and robots'!.

Watch all six!. Start with Epsidoes IV (A New Hope), V (The Empire Strikes Back), and VI (The Return of the Jedi)!. Since these are the original, and arguably one of the greatest trilogies ever filmed, it's the obvious place to start!. Finish it up with Episodes I (The Phantom Menace), II (Attack of the Clones), and III (Revenge of the Sith)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
