Question: I'm a big movie fan and like all types but my favourites are horrors am I alone out there!?
I like horror books as well as films and when I read one I like to think whether it would make a good film, but I have trouble finding any good horror books these days, have all the writers given up!?
I like to write my self and have put pen to paper on a few ideas but am wondering how big the horror fan community is these days for films and books!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I used to be so scared of horror movies when I was in primary and I remember losing a lot of sleep after watching Stephen King's IT and Child's Play!. I was such a scaredy cat I even refused to watch Michael Jackson's Thriller music video :P!. But now I've outgrown it and start to enjoy watching horror movies!. I recently watched Stephen King's IT and I was surprised it didn't turn out scary when I watched it!. I used to read RL Stine's Goosebumps books!. Man, those were the days!. My favourite horror book right now is the "Call of Cthulhu & Other Weird Stories" by HP Lovecraft!. He is often considered the godfather of modern horror books and inspired notable horror writers such as Stephen King and Anne Rice!. His stories are mostly about psychological horror which makes it an interesting read!. If you haven't read his books I recommend getting a copy of it right now!.

To answer your question, yes I do think the fan community of the horror genre is big for all mediums!. Books and films alike but in my opinion, I believe the reason why they aren't any new horror books is because horror has found its new medium: video games!. It's the latest phenomenon for this generation and if you're not yet a gamer yourself, I'd say go check it out!. I'm an avid gamer and my favourites are the Resident Evil series, Silent Hill series, The Suffering, Bioshock, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
