Anybody else think The Dark Knight was WAY overrated?!

Question: Anybody else think The Dark Knight was WAY overrated!?
Heath Ledger was awesome!.!.!.!.!.just like everyone else said, but the story itself was lousy and the chick playing Bruce's love interest was lame!. What a disappointment!.!.!.
Especially after seeing Ironman right before!. GREAT story, great performances, great effects!. No comparison!. Too bad!.!.!.I'm a fan of Christian BaleWww@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Overrated, yes!. Unoriginal, no ****!.
Everyone says that the move is unoriginal, but they fail to realize that The Dark Knight is based on a graphic novel that is based on a comic book!. If the writers had deviated too far from the plot of either of these mediums the people they make the majority of their money from would not have spent any money!.
Avid comic readers, or lovers of the graphic novel, would have shunned the movie because of the deviation from the original medium!.
Hence, The Hulk!. The original was crap because it had nothing to do with the comic therefore, no one wanted to watch and a The Hulk was remade!.
Oh and I do think that Iron Man was better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Dark Knight was way overrated!. At best is was a good movie!. The situations presented were very derivative!. The scenarios of who to save came from the Saw series!. Bruce Wayne mis-firing one of Lucius Fox's new weapons came from Bond!. The writers have said that the overall tone came from the movie Heat!.

I have always felt this relaunch (i!.e!. - "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight") falls short!. For one thing, they dumb down Batman!. They don't show the amount of study and physical training that would be required for such a character with no powers who is regarded as the greatest detective in the world!. (Note: The stories written over the years have gone into great detail about his training!. The first Keaton movie worked because they simply didn't deal with that portion of the story!.)

One major concern I have is the person who posted earlier saying that the movie is based on the graphic novel "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns"!. I have heard people say that over and over and over, but that is entirely untrue!. The movie has NOTHING to do with the graphic novel!. Frank Miller, the author, who also wrote "300", penned "The Dark Knight Returns"!. It takes place 10 years after Bruce Wayne retires from being Batman and has to return after crime in Gotham gets out of hand!. That novel is critically acclaimed beyond just the comic world and is a masterpiece!. also of note is that the Joker in the movie is clearly wearing makeup!. The Joker has never warn makeup!. The character that Heath Ledger played is nothing like the character in any of the books!. Yes, the movie was overrated; but don't say it is because they stayed close to source material!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Heath Ledger was WAY WAY over-rated!. His character did nothing original or anything related to the Joker!. Just another demented pervert terrorist wearing Joker clothes!.

And the Dark Knight movie wasn't such a much!. Put James Bond in a Batman costume and you got the same thing!. I thought the movie WANTED was better in a few more ways than The Dark Knight!.

But I will see it on IMAX as soon as possible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I loved Dark Knight, and yes, I do say it is EXTREMELY overrated!.

The end of both fights between Batman and Joker and Iron Man and that one robot thing was dissapointing!. Batman and Joker fight was more disappointing!. It should of been better!. But I can understand you can't do much because Batman has no powers lol!. But I didn't like Iron Man as much as Dark Knight!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with you, "The Dark Knight" is over-rated and "Iron Man" is a much more enjoyable movie!. Granted, Ledger gave a good performance but one good performance doesn't make a good movie, and "The Dark Knight" is deeply flawed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

agreed the overall movie was but Heath Ledger performance was not overrated!. It irritates me however that some people think that Heath only deserves the oscar because he died!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

everything was overrated and unoriginalWww@Enter-QA@Com
