That witch was Angelica's (the head witches) personal secretary and she had been treating her like dirt!. In other words for vengeance!.
Its a great movie that I enjoyed!.
My favourite line was from Angelica who was posing as a fashion consultant:
A young average woman says:
"Oh, madame, you look so great and divine today!."
" Hm mm answers Angelica, I wish I could say the same about you!"

Well I wouldnt say it was for Vengence!.!.!. See Helga wasnt a bad witch!.!. If you notice she never was included in any of the other witches activities and they did treat her like dirt!.
At the end of the movie however when she changes Luke back you can notice that her hands are normal hands not the hands of a bad witch!. So basically she was a good witch she knew she would have a better life as a good one!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
