Answers:
The various camera shots can be grouped as follows:
? close-ups to show the inner thoughts and details of the actions of the characters!.
? long-range shots show characters in more detailed settings!.
? medium-range shots focus on people interacting, eg: in conversation!. It is the most commonly used shot!.

Camera angles
The various camera angles and their effect can be describes as follows:
? high angle highlights distance or powerlessness by looking down on the character or object
? low angle highlights closeness or powerfulness by looking up at the character or object
? overhead shot/ bird’s eye view is when the camera is directly above the object or scene

Camera movement
? zoom – the camera moves towards or away from a particular object
? tracking – the camera moves forwards or backwards through space, or parallel to the action
? panning – the camera moves from side to side on its tripod
? tilting – the camera moves up or down to reveal a scene or object

Editing
This is the joining together of the various shots involved in shooting a film!. They are joined together in terms of their order and timing!. The timing is determined by the audience’s need to identify things in the shot and by the creation of mood and atmosphere!. For example, fast editing can create a mood of action and excitement!. Some examples of editing techniques are as follows:
? cut - is a quick change from one image to another
? dissolve - when there is gradual fading of the image from one shot to the next
? fade - occurs when an image disappears to a black screen (fade out), or when, from a blank screen an image gradually appears (fade in)
? jump cuts - when there is a jump in time or setting, often assisted by visual and aural links to make the transition less abrupt

Look for color schemes, for example Red representing blood and violence, and different colors representing peace!.

Look for the size of shot- If it's a close shot, it probably shows intensity!. Zoomed out shot could show the whole situation at a time!.

Look for camera angles: Low- angle shots are used to put fear into the audience!. Straight angle shots are used to give a sense of equality between the character and audience!. shots form above are used to show fear and vunerability in the character!.

Different lighting techniques will signal different things

The direction someone is walking across the screen can determine whether something good or something bad is about to happen!. A character walking from the left side of the screen to the right side often is seen as walking to safety and it makes the audience more comfortable
A character walking from the right side to the left side can indicate that they are in danger and makes the audience uneasy!.

Great question, hope this helped!Www@Enter-QA@Com
