Would Shrek be considered to be a fable?!

for those of you who do not know what a fable is, a fable is animals, plants, inanimate objects, or forces of nature which are given human qualities and illustrates a moral lesson

i know there are talking animals (such as the donkey, gingerbread man, 3 little pigs etc!.) but does shrek have a moral lesson!?!? Www@Enter-QA@Com
