Answers:
I usually go up to the window and say "One adult for (name of movie)!." The clerk will then tell you the price!.

Most movie clerks know what you mean when you say "x adults" or "y kids"!. Often parents will say something like "2 adults and 2 kids for (movie title)"!. In some cases you can shorten the title of the movie, as long as you shorten it enough for the clerk to understand!. For example, if you were to see the next Harry Potter movie next Summer, you could say "1 adult for Harry Potter" or "1 adult for Half-Blood Prince!." You don't have to say the entire title ("1 adult for Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince")!. The clerks prefer you shorten it as much as possible to move the line as quickly as possible!.

They may ask for ID if you want to see a PG13 or R-rated movie, unless you're with an adult like your parents or a friend's parents!. They may also ask to see ID if you ask for a child's ticket, since most theaters will only sell child tickets to children 12 and younger!. 13 and older must pay adult price, since they usually get to see some of the higher-rated movies (PG-13 and above)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's pretty much the same way you ask for anything else!.

You could say something like!.!.!.
"Can I get a ticket for (the movie name)"
"1 ticket for (movie name), please"
