Hello I Love This Movie BOOGIE NIGHTS (And of course Mark Wahlberg <3 <3, it was there we i found out finally that we was more than a SUPER HOTTTT guy in underwear as Marky Mark), and i saw it over and over again and can't completly understand the end, let's see: Buck in the end has a Stereo Store, The RollerGirl is in the school, the Coronel is in jail, and the most important: Dirk apologize to Jack and comes back , and the final scene he practice his lines and show his penis (i know is fake) and says "i'm a big shiny star", he zip up and there's over the film, well does he left drugs!?, and please someone explain to me the end correctly! You're right, there's a great deal of ambiguity in the ending!. The scene is an homage to a similar moment in Scorsese's "Raging Bull," where Jake LaMotta, years past his fighting prime, psychs himself up in his dressing room to go out and perform his nightclub act!. As in that scene, we're supposed to ask here: Does this moment indicate the beginning of Dirk's comeback or the beginning of his slide into total irrelevancy!? Either way, it doesn't matter; his story feels complete!. The porn world where he enjoyed his salad days is gone forever, having been replaced by something far more industrial and less innocent!. The scene's punchline finally shows us the penis we've been hearing about for three hours, and it's both more and less impressive than we've been led to believe!. In the end, that's all Dirk is (or is allowed to be in his world), a unique penis!. Whether or not he continues working, goes straight, or goes into irreversible decline (like John Holmes, the real-life inspiration for Dirk) ultimately doesn't matter!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i love this movie to ,it is suspose to be based on the life of john holmes,although it is not real accurate,,but john holmes ende up not kicking drugs and he later died of aidsWww@Enter-QA@Com
