Query letter question?!

Question: Query letter question!?
I recently finished a Film Concept, but haven't started on the actual screenplay just yet (Busy with School & Work) But im contemplating sending the concept in a query letter to a production company or if I should sent it to an agent first!.

If people here feel an Agent would be best, If you could list any agents that hire new writers!.

No I understand that not to many agents (if any) accept new writers thats why I'm considering sending the query letter to a production company first!.

Its a political comedy that I think would be right up Apatow Productions Alley, and maybe Paramounts!. But cant decide to submit to them or to an agent!.

Any feedback would be great!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Send the query letter!. The query letter should be just one page long, and look at it as a challenge!. It isn't easy to write a good query letter, but knowing how to write a query letter that will actually get someones attention can be a tremendous help to a young career, but if you don't get a nibble from the query letter no one will hold it against you (in fact, chances are no one would remember the letter)!. It would probably be as hard to find an agent who would represent you as it would be to sell a screenplay; an agent would also take part of the money!. Try the query letter first, and resort to an agent later if you need to do so!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, check the yellow pages and do your homework on agents!. I would suggest an agent and copyright your screenplay!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
