Here are my thoughts on some of the actors/actresses on the official cast list:
Bella Swan: Kristen Stewart
I think that she was a good choice for the part of Bella, because she is one of the few young, female actresses today that can carry such a highly-anticipated film!. Some of my other favourites for the part were: Leighton Meester, Emma Watson, Emmy Rossum, Emily Browning, Rachel Bilson, and Isla Fisher!.
Edward Cullen: Robert Pattinson
Obviously, no human being can ever portray the insanely beautiful perfection that Edward is described as having, but I personally think that Robert Pattinson was one of the better suggested actors!. Here are some of my other favourites: Henry Cavill, Hayden Christensen, Tom Sturridge, and Gaspard Ulliel!.
Carlisle Cullen: Peter Facinelli
I still prefer Charlie Hunnam, but he'll do!.
Esme Cullen: Elizabeth Reaser
No problems, here!.
Rosalie Hale: Nikki Reed
There was so such controversy over this cast member, but I think that she'll do an excellent job!. I also really liked Olivia Wilde! And, of course, no person could ever perfectly portray Rosalie, the most beautiful woman on the planet, so there was bound to be a LOT of rude remarks from the fan-base, but I personally don’t understand it!.
Emmett Cullen: Kellan Lutz
HE'S SO PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE!
Alice Cullen: Ashley Greene
I think that Rachel Leigh Cook could have pulled this role off the slightest bit better, but I don't really have any major issues with her!.
Jasper Hale: Jackson Rathbone
I think he'll be perfect! Minus the hair!.!.!.!.
Charlie Swan: Billy Burke
He'll be good!.
James: Cam Gigandet
When I heard that he was being cast as James, I was really excited! But, the wig they put him in is atrocious! James is supposed to have cropped, dark hair!.
Victoria: Rachelle Lefèvre
She'll be okay!.
Laurent: Edi Gathegi
Obviously, this is not a racist comment, but, according to Stephenie Meyer, even darker-skinned vampires are supposed to somewhat pale, even if their skin tone is somewhat coloured!. I did not picture Laurent in this way at all, and the fact that the actor’s skin colour goes against the vampire mythology laid out in the novels somewhat disappoints me, but I think that he’ll be good for the part!.
Jessica Stanley: Anna Kendrick
Minor character= I don't significantly care!.
Angela Weber: Christian Serratos
Minor character= I don't significantly care!.
Eric Yorkie: Justin Chon
I didn't really picture him as oriental, but he's only a minor character, so oh well!.!.!.!.
Mike Newton: Michael Welch
I sooo wanted a blonde Mike, but I'll have to live!
Sam Uley: Solomon Trimble
He'll be fine!.
Jacob Black: Taylor Lautner
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cast choice, although I had my heart set on Steven Straight!.
Renée Dwyer: Sarah Clarke
Minor character= I don't significantly care!.
Billy Black: Gil Birmingham
I thought that Graham Greene would have been awesome, but he'll be fine, I think!.
