Question: What was the ending of the BUTTERFLY EFFECT supposed to mean!?
I didnt get the Butterfly Effect at al ( the ending mostly) but it was an amazing movie!. so can some1 explain to me the whole movie

he realized that he was why her life was so f'd up!.!.!. she stayed with her dad to be with him!.!.!. he surmised that if she moved away with her mom after the divorce, her dad wouldnt molest her or her brother, the incident with the firecracker wouldnt have happened, etc!.!.!.

Evan is transported to the present again and as his memories assault him, he sees that Kayleigh and Tommy never move to live with their dad!. He has finally succeeded!. Cut to 2010, an attractive woman wearing a business suit approaches from the other direction!. Evan has to look closely, but it's Kayleigh!. A mature woman, now!.

Special Theatrical Ending After Evan tells Kayleigh that he hates her, he burns all of the things that enabled him to go back in his past!. It cuts forward to 2010!. The same attractive woman walks past Evan!. They both hesitate and look back at each other!. They then keep walking their own way
Director's cut alternate ending The ending on the director's cut version of the movie is very different!. Instead of seeing a childhood birthday, Evan sees footage of his own birth!. Inside his mother's womb, he manages to strangle himself on his umbilical cord, while his mother pleads with the doctors to save her from a fourth stillbirth!. During this process the psychic can be heard psychic "You have no lifeline, you were never meant to exist", and other quotes from his mother and Kayleigh!.
