Actually, that happens quite often!. When a particular topic draws interest, several movies might be made about the same thing!. In about a year's time three films were made about the Long Island Lolita case!. A TV movie and a miniseries are based on the JonBenet Ramsey case!. A murder-for-insurance case has been filmed at least three times for television!. The murder of Dorothy Stratten resulted in a TV movie and a theatrical film!.
Why is that confusing!? It's been done for a very long time and isn't going to stop!. There might be times when the filmmakers aren't aware that they are working with the same base material, especially when a different title is used while working on the project!. The interpretations can be especially interesting as you see various sides expressed!. I imagine that there are many more examples I could give!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
