Loved this series!.!.!.I've read it multiple times!. I was really looking forward to the movie, but I can't picture Becky as an American!. Emily Blunt would have been perfect for the part; and sorry but Hugh Dancy!.!.!.blech!

It's being financed by an American studio and they felt audiences might not be as accepting if it wasn't set in America!.

Sadly, he's right!.!.!.it's confusing to me why the studios operate this way, since I know PLENTY of people who read the book series and were looking forward to Becky being British!. Maybe they wanted to distance themselves from the inevitable comparison to Bridget Jones!? (Even though she was played by an American!.!.!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
