What is a screening DVD?!

Question: What is a screening DVD!?
I have a DVD in a cardboard case, and it says "full length screening DVD"

I guess I have a second question to go along with this!. It also says "not for sale or rental" Why can't I sell it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
When a new movie is released to theaters, DVDs of the film are sent to film critics, talk-show hosts, film school professors, etc!. These DVDs are called "screening copies" because the critics screen the film for the public!. These DVDs are not allowed to be sold because of copywrite infringement and also to protect the film at the box office!. After all, who would pay $10!.00 per ticket to see it in the theater when you can see them for free!.

If you do sell it, it's called piracy and theft of service, and theft of original material!. It's what the FBI warning is all about!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

screening dvds are like tests theyre given to executives so that they can check the film before a world release

depending on the movie you could get about £600 for one of themWww@Enter-QA@Com
