There is nothing in the works right now!.
As to the below link, they say they "plan" to make a 4th but nothing has happened yet!. No story, no studio, no cast, no filming, no nothing!.

but the 28 weeks later was a big letdown!.
i mean it was a good film but crap compared to 28 days later!.
i can't put my finger on it but it might have been the budget completely ruined it!. the first one felt more genuine it was just a bunch of hopeless people badly equipped with no clue how to proceed!.
the second one felt too organised and professional too many special effects!.
noteably the helicoptor massacarce looks gory but cheap thrill and wouldn't be worth a **** from a book writing point of view!
their killing the film like aliens
everyone knows the first aliens was the most scary ye barely saw the aliens but ye heard them plenty!.
the other aliens films were growing them in captivity and trying to understand them pure bollix, you saw the film play out before it even happend!Www@Enter-QA@Com
