The film is a "Mockumentary" made to look like it's a real life biography of someone, but is in fact a made-up character!. It's not about Pete Tong at all, the saying "It's all gone Pete Tong" is rhyming slang for "It's all gone wrong"!.
So DJ Frankie Wilde is indeed a fictional character, but the movie is made to pretend that he was a real life celeb!.

No, it isn't based on anyone!. That's why it's a fictional character!. Pete Tong is a music producer/ DJ, so no, it isn't based on him either!. The title of the movie is an off way of saying it's all gone wrong!. And yes, I loved the movie!. Funny, and sad, but also it had some GREAT dance tracks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
