I never saw "Borat" either, but I hear that from various sources such as publicized movie reviews that it's funny to many critics (the NOT jokes, for example)!. British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen based this movie on one of his characters on his "Ali G" TV program!. The titular character is a news journalist from the Central Asian country Kazakhstan, though the country's scenes were actually filmed in Romania!. He, along with Azamat, travels to the United States to film his documentary - or mockumentary, for that matter!.
