Just saw this movie last night and it was pretty bad!. It didn't really have a plot to it I guess!.!.!. I mean, after it was over I said "THAT'S IT!?" It's kind of all over the place, no real story line!. Some pretty good fight scenes but that's about it!. I didn't learn any lesson really so I don't know what other people were talking about, either I missed it or they saw more than me!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
The thing is if you're wanting to see a fast paced, lots of ***-kicking, high adrenaline rush type of action movie then Red Belt is not for you!. I think the reason why so many people were dissapointed in this movie is because they went in expecting to see UFC materialized on the big screen when it was indeed the exact opposite!. It is a drama film!. However I enjoyed it because it does convey the messages it intended such as respecting yourself and respecting your craft, keeping things pure and honoring those who have mentored and taught you!. Not all people take up martial arts just so they can learn how to "kick ***", they take it because it teaches self discipline, respect, and understanding of yourself and your environment physically,spiritually and emotionally!. It shows you your place and purpose in this world!. And most importantly before the glitz and glamour of MMA these were real art forms passed down through centuries of teachings--they weren't just made up for entertainment purposes, they were a way of life!. I don't mean to get all Confucious on you, but that's just what I got from the messages in the movie!. But all in all, I do recommend watching it!.
And just for the record, I do very much enjoy MMA, it's just that nowadays it's starting to become more and more of a caricature of itself!. It's getting to the point of just "entertainment" and no longer a display of technique and form!. In a way it's losing it's raw-ness!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm really disappointed, what a boring movie!. I really don't understand that it get's so many positive comments!. Besides that the movie is slow, unrealistic and confusing at some parts, it's got LOW BUDGET written all over it!.
Ever seen a cop kill himself over a stolen watch!? Or the cops wife nagging about money all the time minutes after her husband died!? Well this movie is going to give it to you!. And please watch the happy ending in which our hero practically loses a fight, and gets the gold and red belt presented to him on a silver plate!.
If you like this kind of movies, go see karate kid in the 80's!. This isn't a 2008 movie!. It's a 13 in a dozen cheap B-movie, and a total waste of time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was alot of talking & not enough asss kicking!.
