my favorite was based on a true story about an autistic kid whose mom gave him her own type of therapy and he became nearly normal in the end!. His name was Raun or something odd like that!.

Any memorable ones for you!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
They were the good old days, even though the movies were so bad!. At least everyone was watching the same thing together!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I fondly remember the CBS Movie Of The Week, which came on right after the show "Cannon" ( Thursday nights ) and got moved to Fridays, right after "Mannix"!.

Of them all, the one that to this day stays with me was the film "Gargoyles"!. Some of those movies of the week eventually spun off into TV series of their own---from one network to another, like Darren McGavin's "The Night Stalker", which debuted as a CBS movie and returned as a series on ABC!.

Where I grew up, outside of New York, we got bombarded by movies every day!. This is in the days when there were only a handful a channels and no 24 hour television!. We had (and I'm not kidding) The Early Show, The Late Show,The Late,Late Show, Million Dollar Movie,(they showed the film twice) Saturday Night At The Movies, MOnday Night At The Movies and a few other local shows!. I got my love of film watched these grainy old copies of classic films and I saw The Wizard of Oz BEFORE there was color tv!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes I remember and I miss those times so much
the ones I really remember are this one starring Ricky Schroeder (who I must admit I was in LOVE with at the time ha ha I know) and his dad was suicidal it was way dramatic and more than that one the one that really sticks out is called The Day After which is about America getting hit with a nuclear bomb it was major cold war propaganda

How about those after school specials now there's something to chat aboutWww@Enter-QA@Com

I remember!. They were called Monday Night At The Movies or Thursday Night At The Movies!. I can't remember too many but one starred Patty Duke and she was actually a black widow spider - webs and all!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
