I have heard they are planning to make a movie about the life of Freddie Mercury (from Queen)!.
I love Queen and I want to know if anyone knows if it's true or just a rumour!?

Sasha Baron Cohen is NOT playing Freddie! Brian May would not allow it!. Last I heard, Depp probably won't play him either because of his daughter's health problems!. Anyway, from what I've heard the screenplay isn't very good and only received 2 votes for how well a movie is liked by executives!. It is written by Michael Cunningham who wrote "The Hours"!. Other films on that list were "Valkyrie" and "Burn After Reading" which were made into movies inspite of the rating!. The biopic, entitled "Somebody To Love" encompasses one week of Freddie's life!. (Not much of a biopic if you ask me!) It will be produced by Tribeca Films which is partially owned by Robert DeNiro who is a huge Queen fan!. I haven't heard any new news since the first of the year!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I heard (reported in the media) that there were plans for a biopic about Freddie Mercury!. At first, it was rumoured that Johnny Depp was considering the role, then it was 'announced' that Baron Sascha Cohen would most likely be playing the great man himself!. Haven't heard anything more about it since (and there doesn't appear to be any news on this front on either imdb or the official Queen website)!. Who knows!? I love Queen too!. I just hope if a film does eventuate, they do justice to the late, great Freddie M!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
