Can somebody explain the meaning of quote in dark knight "whatever doesn!

Question: Can somebody explain the meaning of quote in dark knight "whatever doesn't kills you simply makes you stranger!?
Answers:
The original quote is from Friedrich Nietzsche and it's ""That which does not kill you makes you stronger!."

Nietzsche was trying to say that any near-death experience, only makes you more emotionally and psychologically stronger as a person,

However in the film they switched 'stronger' with 'stranger' so I can only imagine this means that whatever happened to the Joker to give him the scar and just his insanely violent life in general, has made him stranger or crazy rather than making him stronger!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

for one thing the joker does nothing and says nothing that doesnt have meaning but it may be something we never know!. for instance the scars on his face, he tells two stories and was about to tell a third to batman, which he would very well tell a complete different story!. so he remains a mystery!. as for the quote he is taking a standard popular quote, but makes it personal, instead "stronger" its "stranger" it the quote identifies who he is to the degree he allows!. and his attempt to bring everyone into his world!. two-face did become stronger, so to speak, but stranger!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's a quote from the philosopher Friedrich Nietsche!. It implies that human beings gain strength through painful experiences!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
