the animated movie a couple years ago was a joke compared to what it should have been!.
It first came up as a project oh about!.!.!.!. 13 years ago, all most as soon as the comics ended that series!.
First cast up was Nicholas Cage which i would support fully as a long haired Superman (word was Con Air inspired him being the choice)
But over time word came out that the story was too complexed to make into a regular sized movie!.
Ok well make two movies out of it!.
1st: Doomsday is released upon the world and heads for Metropolis!. All of the superheroes try to stop him and fail!. Most are severely injured by the monster!.
This leaves only Superman to stop him in the heart of Metropolis!.
Superman dies killing him!.
The movie should end probably there!.
By the way this was to be the biggest casting call in history!. Everyone possible in hollywood was to be casted!. Especailly for the funeral scene!. (michael Keaton even said he'd play Batman for it)
2nd half: Rise of the Supermen!. Four beings, one a boy claiming to be the reincarnated Superman, one a Man of Steel, a Superman made out of metal (cant remember his story) but he turns out to be a fan of superman that tried to carry on the name!. 3rd a Cyborg that looks half like Superman (cant remember where he came from), and finally the Last Kryptonian!. A man who claims only to be the only other survivor from Krypton!.
Each try to take the name of Superman and battle while the world wonders who is the true superman!.
Sometime during this, we learn the last Kryptonian took Superman's body and using some science found a way to rejuvinate his body!. Problem is that if he ever died again he would not have the ability to come back!.
In a final battle against the evil Cyborg, the true Superman, long haired and dressed in black shows up to help out!.
