What's the difference between a movie extra, and a "walk on?"?!

Question: What's the difference between a movie extra, and a "walk on!?"!?
Is a walk on just somebody they asked to be an extra at the last minute!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Not much difference!. An extra is there to fill up space!. A walk on is an extra used to add movement to the scene!. Neither is a speaking role!. Anyone with one to two lines used only to further the plot of a scene is known as a "bit part," the smallest role of speaking parts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

basically, they're the same thing!.
an extra is someone who they may have a one liner part or something of that nature!. or be right up in the camera for some reason or another!.

a walk on is even less important!. they are just space fillers!. and are usually used throughout the whole movie in different places!. their roles are so unimportant that they don't worry about people noticing them twice!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
