Question: Know any Good Historical Films!?
I have to do a HUGE paper for AP European history and i need to choose a movie for this report by tomorrow!. We are supposed to pick films based on a person, place, event, or time period during European history from 1300-now (The Middle Ages-Now)!. then we need to write a 10 page paper on how historically accurate/inaccurate the film is!. SO, do you know of any films that would be good for my project!? Here's the specifics!.!.!.!. the film should pertain to the time period after the middle ages (No 300 or Gladiator, I asked), doesn't have to be accurate (it may even make for a more interesting paper if it isn't accurate!), HAS to pertain to EUROPEAN history (so no Gone with the Wind or Apocalypto), and shouldn't be something really obscure like The Three Musketeers, which is fiction loosely based on a true story that there aren't any non-fiction books about!.

There are plenty of WWI and WWII movies out there!. For these, I suggest All Quiet on the Western Front, The Longest Day, and Patton!.

I'm italian and I remember watching this movie at school!.!. It comes from a very important book in our literature 'The name of the rose' written by Umberto Eco!. It is set in the middle ages!. It might be a great choice!.!.!. A sort of posh choice!. I also remember my teacher complaining about the fact that the movie was historically inaccurate (I think that's why we watched it, to identify the errors cause we had already been obliged to read the book)!. If I remember correctly for instance there was a statue in the opening scene that was of a completly different historic period and things like that!.!.!. Hope it's useful!.!. cheersWww@Enter-QA@Com
